Many professionals in the security departments know this problem: In most cases the installation of a necessary technical security measure is only a part of the job. To be successful these measures also require a change in the behaviour of the employees. Especially if the management is affected, this works only if the measure is accepted. In the past eavesdropping protected rooms were usually installed as steel cabins without windows. The high requirements concerning the shielding of rf signals and acoustic attenuation could only be fulfilled with a massive loss of comfort and freedom for the room design. The result was that these rooms were hardly used, due to the lack of user acceptance.

With the emscreen system eavesdropping protected rooms can be installed by maintaining the natural atmosphere of a room. A non-professional could hardly distinguish the eavesdropping protected room from an ordinary meeting room. All components are integrated into the existing architecture. By doing this as significantly higher level of security can be archived without the need to change the behaviour of e.g., the managing board of a company. For example after a short period of construction works board meetings could take place in the same location like before. Even rooms with glass facades and arched ceilings can be shielded with the emscreen system.
